Filter self-osc whistle
Resonance near self-oscillation — the filter becomes the oscillator.

Self-oscillation teaches that a resonant filter is its own sine source — useful for FX and for understanding acid squeals.
Keyboard tracking keeps whistles in tune as you play up the neck.
